Long awaited product ‘Twitter Blue’ is finally here. Social media giant company, Twitter has finally unveiled it’s long awaited subscription service.
Twitter is offering users who’ll be able to afford the new service exclusive features for ‘rescinding tweets and organizing posts as part of a push to ease the social network’s dependence on advertising revenue’ according to Bloomberg.
Twitter is also building other subscription and payment products that will help influencers make money on the app. Just weeks ago, Twitter introduced a tipping feature ‘tip jar’ which allows users to send money to people they follow. The app is also said to introduce a ticketing service so people can charge for access to Twitter’s live audio rooms called spaces.

The social media platform is also working on other monetization projects e.g Super Follows, service which will let people charge their followers for exclusive content like newsletters, access to audio conversations and like tweets. Though the company is yet to roll out this service, it is planning to offer three pricing tiers at $2.99, $4.99 and $9.99 per month according to senior product manager, Esther Crawford
